GPI is seeking a 3D Laser Scanning / LiDAR Technician for our Survey Department with at least one year of experience to work out of our Pleasantville, NJ office. Candidates must have CAD drafting experience and possess good verbal communication skills; work will include processing and importing field data into a CAD environment in the development of survey plans and documents. Work will be project-based and schedule-driven. The successful Technician will work under the direction of a Project Surveyor. For more information, visit: Responsibilities: Assist with Terrestrial LiDAR collection and initial processing. Prepare Existing Conditions Surveys using TopoDOT and MicroStation software. Perform static LiDAR / laser scanning point cloud registration. Perform 3D modeling and data extraction for Civil Engineering and Surveying Applications. Perform UAS data collection and initial processing on occasion. Qualifications: Minimum of 1-2 Years of experience using scanning or mapping software. High school or equivalent education required. Autodesk Civil 3D, MicroStation, TopoDOT, Leica Cyclone, or other 3D modeling software experience is favorable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs is favorable. Experience with civil/site projects is favorable.
