**Position Summary**

You are an individual contributor capable of increasing revenue by performing all direct and indirect selling activities associated with partners and resellers (volume and non-volume), strategic partners, prospects, and direct customers. **This role covers State & Local Government (SLG) customers throughout the New England region.**

**Responsibilities:**

* Prospect for new business, partnering to increase Citrix product knowledge and efficiencies, and whenever possible, using Independent Software Vendors and Alliance relationships to drive sales

* Manage both an indirect customer procurement (channel) and direct customer engagement model.

* Uses and improves Citrix Solution Advisors, Systems Integrators, and Independent Software Vendors as the fulfillment channel while working with Citrix end-user accounts on IT initiatives.

* Responsible for all aspects of the sales process from pricing to contract development to ensuring successful order fulfillment once the order has been received and processed by Citrix.

* Lead weekly forecasts against revenue targets while working closely with inside sales counterpart(s) to handle the pipeline and set appropriate monthly and quarterly revenue expectations using Citrix-defined CRM and forecasting tools.

* Establish and lead teams of internal and external resources to identify, pursue, and close specific opportunities consistent with account strategies.

* Establish and maintain close relationships with inside sales, systems engineers, consultants, and sales specialists to access to and bring to bear from appropriate internal resources.

* Understand and navigate account procurement practices to successfully formulate profitable licensing contracts.

* Drive timely resolution of customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with Citrix products and services.

* Serve as the primary client contact for non-technical or support issues requiring attention

* Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales management including accurate and timely sales.

**Basic Qualifications:**

* Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience

* Less than 2 years prior territory sales experience in a high-tech environment in an indirect sales and procurement environment with a consistent track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology

***Preferred Qualifications:***

* Ability to travel within assigned territory and other locations including Corporate headquarters

* Knowledge of sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcoming objections, return on investment analysis, closing the sale through appropriate procurement vehicle

* Experience selling to Public Sector customers specifically State and Local Government clients.

* Knowledge of Citrix products is a plus

* Knowledge of hardware and software solutions

* Excellent oral and written communications skills & presentation skills

* Strong work ethic, demeanor and follow through ability
