Olsson's Facility Engineering and Design Team is at the forefront of engineering innovation, providing comprehensive services for large commercial developments, healthcare facilities, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, and military installations. Our expertise includes engineering analysis, design services, and professional consulting, ensuring top-tier quality and world class installations. As a member of this team, you will contribute to diverse, high-impact projects, delivering engineering solutions that make a tangible difference in communities and industries.

Join our Facility Engineering and Design team as a Fire Protection Engineer , where you will tackle complex and intellectually stimulating challenges in fire protection design. This role offers a blend of technical rigor and innovative problem-solving, ideal for those who find excitement in finding sophisticated solutions to intricate problems. Your work will have a meaningful impact across diverse sectors including Federal projects and advanced facilities, requiring a deep understanding of safety and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Problem Solving: Design and optimize fire protection systems for varied and technically demanding environments.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Ensure compliance with intricate federal and local safety regulations, demonstrating your mastery in the field.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Engage in high-level teamwork on significant projects, contributing your specialized knowledge for collective success.
  • Professional Development: Grow as a professional by guiding emerging engineers, sharing your insights and experiences.
  • Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of the latest developments in fire protection technology, enhancing your expertise and applying it to your work.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Omaha, NE; Lincoln, NE; Tulsa, OK; Dallas, TX; Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO or Fort Worth, TX locations.

Qualifications



You are passionate about:

You bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well with a team.
  • Six or more years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Passed the NCEES Fire Protection Engineering Exam.
  • Experience with REVIT, a plus.
  • Experience in Data Center/Health Care/Higher Education/Secondary Education/Industrial sectors is a plus.
