**Description**
**We anticipate that recruitment would be for late summer/early fall of 2021.**
The Interior Designer I provides assistance throughout the building design process, including programming, preparation of design and construction documents, presentation materials, schematic design, design development and contract documents, model building, renderings and construction administration activities under routine guidance.
**D** **ESIGN**
* Provides design support to project team members which may include basic design plans, elevations and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, ergonomic dimensions, finish plans, color plans and schedules.
* Can apply basic elements and principles of design including form, scale, color, texture, pattern, light, balance and proportion.
* Assists in the preparation of presentation materials and models for client presentations
* Adheres to firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.
**TECHNICAL**
* Assists with information gathering relative to programming analysis, space plans and area calculations.
* Assists in preparation of interior construction contract documents, including plans, details, sections and schedules.
* Assists with color/finish/material and furniture specifications research and selection.
* Performs tasks according to Perkins&Will Project Delivery Manual.
**MANAGEMENT**
* Organizes and plans accordingly to execute tasks.
* Self-checks work for accuracy, omissions and legibility.
The successful candidate has:
* Professional Degree in Interior Design or related discipline
* 0-3 years experience
* Basic understanding of interior design theory, applications and construction documentation production
* Knowledge of CAD, 3D computer modeling and graphic design
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Collaborative and professional work ethic
* LEED AP or within 6 months of hire
* Participation in application program requirements for Interior Design Experience Program (IDEP)
