Job Description

Job title: Senior Patient Registrar

Job Location: Jackson Heights, NY 11372

Pay: $25/hr to $28/hr

Shift: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Contract: 12 weeks (Possible Extension)

Duties:

Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, process authorizations, and address any issues related to billing or coverage.
Overseeing the registration process for new and returning patients, ensuring accurate entry of personal, insurance, and medical information.
Training and supervising junior registrars or administrative staff. Offering guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate patient registration processes.
Must have either EPIC experience on resume OR be bilingual in Spanish.
Surgical authorizations are REQUIRED.
Generating and analyzing reports related to patient registrations, appointment statistics, and other relevant metrics. Using this data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Ensuring that patient information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and security, adhering to all privacy laws and institutional policies.
Working closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operational workflows.
Experiences for surgical procedures include scheduling surgical procedures, obtaining auth, reviewing prep with patients, etc.
