Responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator:

• Conduct yearly inspections of all company business parks and rooftop safety systems, delivering comprehensive reports to management
• Assist the Safety Manager with various responsibilities, including new hire orientations, managing PPE inventory, facilitating safety training sessions, and handling data entry tasks
• Perform inspections on rooftops, safety equipment, and other areas requiring the use of safety harnesses and ladders
• Engage with employees to address safety concerns and provide guidance on maintaining a safe work environment
• Maintain detailed reports of inspections, safety improvements, and compliance efforts
• Carry out additional safety-related duties as assigned

Qualifications of the Safety Coordinator:

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Management, Project Management, or Construction Management; equivalent professional experience will also be considered
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with safety equipment, maintenance inspections, and compliance standards
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to groups
• Open to occasional out-of-state travel
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
