Adelphi is seeking highly qualified and experienced Social Worker for a crisis responding team for the city of Urbana, Illinois . The Ideal candidate will have experience in crisis intervention and work with individuals experiencing mental health crises, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or community mental health setting.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field required.
• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with law enforcement on active calls and provide crisis intervention for mental health emergencies, including suicidal ideation.
• Assess risk levels and immediate needs, complete necessary documentation, and handle involuntary admission petitions as required by law.
• Conduct follow-up visits and calls with individuals exhibiting concerning behavior.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans, and connect clients to community resources and services.
• Offer ongoing support and advocacy for clients navigating healthcare and social service systems.
• Coordinate with police, mental health professionals, and community organizations to ensure effective care and services.
• Attend team meetings to review cases and improve service delivery, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
• Assist with community engagement efforts for individuals with mental or behavioral health challenges.
• Train law enforcement personnel on mental health issues, crisis intervention techniques, and effective communication strategies.
• Provide educational resources on mental health and available support services, and offer continuous educational opportunities for yourself and others in the role.
